Let's Fix Construction LIVE Workshop
Thank you for your interest in hosting a Let’s Fix Construction interactive workshop! Each two hour workshop is good for two AIA LU's.
We facilitate a program centered around common conflicts, issues and solutions in AEC. These issues can be either identified by YOU and customized to fit your needs or we can provide issues common to the industry and culled from previous workshops.
This workshop is facilitated by Eric Lussier and Cherise Lakeside. Their diverse backgrounds offer unique perspectives in addition to a dynamic presentation style.

FORMAT
- If time allows, each attendee in the room will introduce themselves, including their company and a top AEC frustrations they experience.
- Cherise and Eric will introduce themselves and discuss a brief history on the creation and meaning behind Let’s Fix Construction.
- An issue will then be identified and discussed with the entire group. We have found that by discussing an issue aloud best demonstrates the concept and premise of LFC which is to identify out-of-the box, collaborative, forward moving solutions to any given AEC problem
- The group will then be broken up into teams. Teams work best if multiple disciplines are represented or if inter-office teammates are broken up. This encourages diverse voices.
- Each team will identify a captain. The table will be given an identified problem, a blank problem sheet and ten minutes to brainstorm. The team will decide to tackle the given problem OR present one of their own instead. The goal is to return after ten minutes with three bulletted solutions , each comprised of ten words or less. Each voice at the table should have input and be represented.
- Each team captain will then present their problem and deliver their bulletted list to the entire room. The other attendees will then be allowed to offer any input, variants or differed solutions. Should the solutions be backward thinking, they will be reminded of the mission of LFC .
- We have found that the group discussions take on a life of their own and are beneficial to the more collaborative effort that we are all trying to achieve.
